FI80 ID Mount Flange Facer for On-Site Heat Exchanger Repair Projects
CASE INTRODUCTION
Zhejiang Petrochemical (ZPC) is one of China’s largest integrated refining and chemical enterprises, specializing in petroleum refining, advanced chemical materials, and specialty products. Its large-scale production facilities and complex process equipment demand high safety standards, reliability, and sustainable operation. In the heat exchanger industry, equipment continuously operates under high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive chemical environments, which over time can cause sealing surface wear, leakage, and failures. These issues not only result in production losses and safety risks but also lead to costly unplanned downtime.
To address this challenge, on July 7, 2025, Zhejiang Petrochemical applied the FI80E Flange Facing Machine (ID Mount Flange Facer) from MT Portable Machine on-site in Zhejiang Province. The machine’s modular design and portability enabled rapid setup, precise machining, and efficient maintenance directly at the site, without removing large equipment. This solution ensured safe, stable, and efficient operations.
